Pear and Iris, Kept Light

Pink Encounter is a fruity-floral with a dry spine. Bergamot, pear and grapefruit open it bright and slightly tart, hyacinth and jasmine carry the middle with a green, almost spring-garden quality, and iris, cedar and amber close it powdery and soft. It is the rare fruity scent that ends warmer and drier than it began.

It is a daytime scent: it makes a room feel light on its feet.

Tart to Powdery

• Opening: bergamot, pear, grapefruit — bright and tart
• Heart: hyacinth, jasmine — green white floral
• Dry-down: iris, cedar, amber — powdery, dry, softly warm

Iris is the note that saves it. Without the iris and cedar, the fruit would be the whole story and the scent would never develop.

Where It Works Best

Guest bedrooms, dressing rooms, hallways and any bright room. It is a good choice for a space that gets a lot of daylight, where heavier scents turn cloying.
