Aquatic, Without the Sport-Spray Feel

The aquatic category has a reputation problem: most of it smells like a locker room air freshener. This one avoids that by keeping the seawater note under the herbs. Lavender, mint, rosemary and green leaves do the opening work, rose softens the edges, and sandalwood with geranium and jasmine carry the middle. It is fresh in the way an open window is fresh, not in the way a spray is.

It is the scent we would put in a bathroom before anything else.

The Notes, In Order

The rosemary is the quiet hero. It gives the aquatic opening an herbal backbone so the whole thing does not collapse into “blue”.
